EIU DEMOCRACY 2019
The latest edition of The Economist Intelligence Unit’s annual Democracy Index, assessing the state of global democracy in 2019, recorded the worst average global score since the index began in 2006. The score for every region of the world either declined or stagnated, and the democratic recession was seen across all categories of the index with the exception of political participation, the EIU observes.
